Hey everyone,
First and foremost, let me thank all the people who have shown me such great respect, kindness, friendship and support over the years. To realize you were brainwashed and part of a cult isn't easy for anybody ... but especially someone who joined to feel loved, to find something positive in life, and to create a sense of family. That wasn't easy to give up, and facing the truth at the beginning wasn't easy either.
I've been very moved by the kind emails and messages I've gotten. They were mostly encouragement or personal tales of people who have suffered and lost because of this cult. I appreciated you sharing with me your courage and stories about overcoming these events in your life, and sharing your experiences.
I would love to keep working on this blog. But despite all my best intentions, it always ends up falling to the wayside and not being updated. The truth is I just don't have the time to do it. It's unfortunate that those of us trying to expose the truth (especially through personal tales) can't compete with the cult's multi-billion dollar advertising programs and sending out thousands door to door.
I'm very grateful ( I cannot stress this enough) to all the people who have taken the time to put information out on the internet: stories, websites, document copies, books, etc. Their efforts helped lead me out of the cult. A particular thank-you to Samuel the Utahnite -- whose indignation and sarcasm made me laugh out loud, and really helped me to cope and heal.
Again, I am sorry I can't do more. I'd love to put the online-shop up again, and make podcasts and audio available, or videos. I simply don't have the time to focus on this, but rest assured, if circumstances change I will always be willing to come back. I may update or add to the blog from time to time.

I truly hope my Mormon friends will leave this cult. The indoctrination is so deep and levelled in after a lifetime, that it looks bleak at this point. But we never know what will happen, and I will always hold out hope for them. They are the main reason I started this blog.
I hope everyone will continue to enjoy the links. Please read the recommended books and material. Check out the amazing websites ... my utmost respect and thanks to the owners of them. Continue researching and learning. It will never fail to amaze you ... the corruption of this organization, the LIES, the scandals, the history, the misogyny, the racism, the antisemitism, the homophobia, the hypocrisy, the cover-ups, the whitewashing, the politics, the greed. It all goes on and on. You can never learn enough. As I start approaching a decade out of this cult -- I still find I learn something new about it each time I research.

For a time, I moderated the comments. As I will not be updating often, and I am choosing to leave this blog as is - the comments are now unmoderated. I apologize in advance for the various idiotic ones you will have to wade through. Mainly LDS members proclaiming the church is true, scolding, advising to 'read the book of Mormon', teenagers proudly proclaiming their testimony, and others threatening and cursing about. Please try to ignore these and focus on the rational, useful ones that provide links, information and great commentary. Also, please do continue to leave your LDS stories if you are an ex-member. Your tale will help someone else going through the same thing.

As far as "spreading and learning the truth about religion" is concerned, you cannot prove that there is a God and since you were not living during the dispensation of Jesus Christ and his apostles, you cannot prove that he lived. The basic principle that applies to religion is faith. Speaking as a Latter Day Saint, it is very disrespectful for you to post your patriarchal blessing on the internet for everyone to view. Everyone's blessing is special, not generic. Because you failed to keep your covenants with your Heavenly Father you did not receive your blessings. The Lord did not want to make you feel guilty for not helping your ancestors, He wanted to encourage you to help them. By reading your post, I can tell that your life has no meaning to you and that you are very pessimistic. You will be held accountable for your choices in the life soon to come. You should not spread false doctrine and malicious thoughts if you have not prayed to our Heavenly Father and asked if the Gospel was true. James 3:8- But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. I honestly hope you find reason for your life and am personally glad you stopped demeaning the reason for others lives and making people believe that Latter Day Saints are evil and the devil. I didn't know that giving service, helping uplift others, and having standards and virtue were of the devil. So instead of naming your blog "Exposing Mormonism", why don't you entitle it "I have nothing better to do with my time rather than be the devil's employee" I hope God leads you back to the Iron Rod and truth and happiness.

MORMONISM OKAYS PORN

Both Mormon and non-Mormon scholars are aware of a hard-core pornographic drawing in the "Book of Abraham" which is Mormon-approved scripture.
The same Book is part of the "Pearl of Great Price" which, along with the "Book of Mormon" and the "Doctrine and Covenants," make up the LDS church's "triple combination" in one volume.
The porn is found in Fig. 7 of Facsimile 2 in the "Book of Abraham" which shows two beings facing each other, which were described by Joseph Smith as representing the Holy Ghost and God the Father, the latter clearly showing an aroused male sex organ.
After Smith published this sketch in his newspaper in 1842, which offended Mormon sensibilities, the phallic portion was whited out for more than a century until the "restored" LDS church decided in 1981 to restore what had long been censored!
Equally shocking was the discovery that the "Book of Abraham" had nothing to do with Abraham or his God but was actually based on ancient Egyptian funeral documents depicting occultic obscene practices - and the original sketches showed an erotic phallus on both beings including the one Smith blasphemously claimed was the Holy Ghost!
